Commercial Pilot License Type Rating

Once you have achieved your Commercial Pilot’s Licence or CPL(H), you are able to do a smaller flying course to learn to fly a different helicopter type. This is called a ‘Type Rating’ course and ranges from 5-8 hours of flying training on the type (depending on complexity) plus a test. Once this course has been completed you will be licenced to fly that helicopter type!

Heli Air is an approved FTO / ATO, which means we are able to provide type rating training courses and tests from our bases. Our wide team of experienced and professional instructors can train you to fly on any of the following helicopter types:
