Mountain Helicopter Club Flyout
August 26, 2016 - August 28, 2016

The Welsh mountains which make our British landscapes so distinctive were carved out in the Ice Age, some 10,000 years ago. They’re our defence and our lifeline, a challenge and an inspiration. Their peaks, slopes and views attract mountaineers, artists and Olympic sportsmen. And they’re endlessly exciting to explore. However, very rarely are the explored by the beauty of rotary flight. Plans are still to be fully completed for this trip however we will be flying up to Caernarfon and to Plas Dinas or Seiont Manor for overnight stays. The weekend will involve a mountain flying brief from one of Heli Air’s senior flight instructors and the chance for each of you to try out the challenging yet rewarding conditions encountered in the mountains.
Each aircraft will carry a Heli Air safety pilot for your own benefit. The set-up fee covers all landing, parking and associated fees, instructor overnights and all maps/equipment (including Life Jackets/PLB’s if required) necessary for the trip. Flying will be split as evenly as possible between pilots, and we estimate approx. 5-8 hours flying per aircraft.
A back up weekend of Saturday 3rd – Monday 5th September has been selected should the weather preclude flight.
Customers are also welcome to drive to North Wales to meet us and spend some time flying in the mountains. Booking will be on a first come first serve basis.
Cost: Dual rates + set up fee of £600 inc vat per aircraft
