Helicopter Type Rating Courses
Once you have achieved your Private Pilot’s Licence or PPL(H), you are able to do a smaller course to learn to fly a different helicopter type. This is called a Helicopter Type Rating Course and ranges from 5-8 hours of flying training on the type (depending on complexity) plus a skills test. Once this helicopter type rating course has been completed you will be licenced to fly that helicopter type!
Once you have passed your helicopter type rating course with Heli Air, you will then be able to hire a helicopter and explore the country in the most exciting and revealing way possible. All of our helicopters are maintained to the highest standards for your piece of mind, and we can provide support and a friendly face throughout the UK at one of our nine exclusive bases.
