Learn to Fly a Helicopter – Become a Helicopter Pilot
Heli Air is here to help you learn to fly a helicopter, and achieve your dream of becoming a helicopter pilot. Heli Air operates out of 6 exclusive UK wide helicopter training academies, providing helicopter training to both budding commercial helicopter pilots and instructors as well as private pilots who want to fly purely for their own pleasure. Our professional courses and instructors cover a wide range of training options, and the timing and pace of the training courses can be tailored to suit the individual.
If you would like to lean to fly a helicopter as a private pilot, you can begin your PPL(H) course with no previous flying experience. This course can be structured to suit your availability and aptitude, on weekends or weekdays depending on your own schedule. Once you have successfully completed your PPL(H) course with us, you will be qualified to fly a helicopter privately.
If you would like to learn to become a commercial helicopter pilot, then you will need to complete your CPL(H) course. Prior to commencing this course you will need to have successfully completed your PPL(H), your CPL(H) or ATPL(H) ground school exams, and gained sufficient helicopter flying experience. Heli Air can provide you with your CPL(H) course, and after you have successfully passed the CPL(H) course you will be qualified to fly helicopters as a career.
This is the course if you would like to teach other people to learn to fly a helicopter. Once you have gained your FI(H) flight instructor rating, you can fly as an EASA approved instructor and work for an Approved Training Organisation teaching others to fly helicopters. Heli Air offers this training course out of its Gloucester / Cheltenham base and will normally be able to deliver it over a 4-6 week period.
In partnership with Bucks New University, Heli Air can help you learn to fly a helicopter as well as achieve a respected aviation degree.
